Buttercupp Candles have become a staple and crowd favorite in the Quad Cities. No boutique or farmers’ market is complete without these incredible smelling candles, wax melts, room sprays, and newly released squeezy wax products!

Owners and husband and wife duo KC and Jennifer Cupp opened the Buttercupp Candles storefront in December of 2020, right before COVID19 hit. Buttercupp moved online and was able to ship worldwide during the pandemic, helping people all over the world make their homes smell great without having to leave. Once businesses were able to operate more normally, the storefront was welcomed with open arms by the QC community.

Buttercupp Candles has seen an immense growth since their beginning– from starting the business in their home, they quickly outgrew the space and moved into their Moline location, and were able to hire an amazing staff. Their products can also be found at the Freight House Farmers’ market year round, and at their LeClaire, Iowa location.

Both the Leclaire and Moline locations have full candle bars, where customers can come and create their own fun scents and design their candles however they’d like. This service is great for any large group, or yourself and a friend that wants the new experience of creating their own custom candle.

This family owned and operated business includes the whole Cupp family- Jennifer and KC work full time creating new scents, creating designs, and their three children also help with the creation of the candle making and help run the stores and stands at markets. Some of their scents are based on their family vacations, such as their Coastal Waters scent, and can be found in their stores!

When going to Buttercupp Candles, KC and Jennifer hope that their customers can find some relaxation and a sense of calmness when lighting their candles, and that Buttercupp Candles can make your day a little brighter!
