If you're looking for a calm place to read with a variety of books or a cup of coffee while you do work, the Brewed book is the place for you! Located in Davenport, Iowa, this coffee shop is more than just a place to have a beverage or your choice of pastry. It is also a place that is established with the goal of creating a space that is comfortable and welcoming.

The co-owner of the coffee shop Trevor Fuhs had the idea to open a place that would function as a coffee shop, a bookstore, and a gaming shop all in one and tried to bring his idea to life with the Brewed Book. “The vision of the place is a relaxing, comfortable venue that's as enjoyable, enticing, and welcoming as possible,” Fuhs said, describing what he hopes customers experience when they come into the calming atmosphere of the Brewed Book.

Though the coffee shop struggled during the pandemic it is now open 7 days a week, gradually regaining its previous momentum by hosting board game nights twice a week and several book readings in the shop.

In addition to these events, the Brewed Book also tries to support local authors by buying their books, putting them up for display on the shelves, and providing a venue for readings. So if you are in the mood for a cup of coffee, a book, or some board games, go check out the Brewed Book!
