Mother-daughter owned gift and stationary store
WaterMark Corners is a mother-daughter owned gift and stationary store by Barbara and Amy Trimble. Recently, they opened a bar inside of the store, named The Corner Bar. Handpicking every individual item sold in the store and curating the bar’s menu, they focus on products that are innovative, intriguing, and inspiring.
The idea of opening a bar inside their storefront came from brainstorming with their business coach about what works well for WaterMark, including what days are the most successful; Amy kept coming back to their Holiday Open House. This event filled the store with hundreds of people drinking wine (pre-COVID) and enjoying themselves while shopping. It was the most successful day of the year. In order to recreate this environment everyday for the store, WaterMark opened their very own bar.
“It was a way to give people a reason to come into the store without having to shop– they can come in for a glass of wine, they can come in with their friends and sit down, and enjoy socializing,” said Amy.
Walking around the store, possibly holding a glass of wine, you’ll find items that you never knew you needed: a spoon that turns into a ladle, children’s toys that they’ll actually play, socks customizable with your dog’s face, and so much more.
Open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, come in to shop for the perfect gift, a book to enjoy, or simply to browse and socialize.
